THE BATTLE FOR CHILE on September 11th, another memorial

THE BATTLE FOR CHILE is a documentary film in 3 parts, directed by the Chilean director Patricio Guzman.  It is a chronicle of the political tension in Chile in 1973 and of the violent counter-revolution against the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende which culminated in a U.S. backed coup on SEPTEMBER 11, 1973.   Random Row Books will be screening all three parts of this film beginning at 5 PM with Part 1 which runs 96 min.  Part 2 which covers the Sept. 11th Coup will begin at 7 PM and it runs 88 min.  Part 3 will follow.  This takes place Tuesday September 11th at 315 W. Main St.
