CAPOEIRA lessons with CARA LEGAL at Random Row every Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:30

July 2, 2011

Capoeira is approximately 400 years old. It came to Brazil by way of the slave trade in the 16th century, in which various cultures were forced together, forming many Afro-Brazilian folkloric arts and traditions. Briefly, it is an Afro-Brazilian martial-art incorporating fight, dance, play, music, and philosophy into rigorous training. It is a unique and uplifting cultural experience that brings together beauty, music, and power. Capoeira develops mental and physical balance, conditioning, as well as teaching confidence and self-defense.

Lessons will begin with Cara Legal this coming Tuesday, July 5th at Random Row Books at 315 W. Main St.
