First Annual AMERICAN INDIAN FAIR on December 3rd, 12 to 5 pm

In order to raise awareness to local and national American Indian culture and history we will be hosting Charlottesville’s first annual AMERICAN INDIAN FAIR.  Speakers include Monacan chief Sharon Bryant.  There will also be Osage dancers in traditional regalia as well as artists, craftsman, food vendors, skill shares, films and of course a great selection of books on the subject.  Current schedule for films is as follows.

3 pm – Buffy St. Marie – Up Where We Belong

4 pm – Alcatraz is not an Island (the story of AIM’s occupation of Alcatraz)

5 pm – Incident at Oglala: the story of Leonard Peltier
