Idly Bent Theater Co. presents PERSEPHONE, a play by Matthew Minnicino

February 8, 2012

FEATURING –
Paul Thomas Truitt / as Toby
Jason Ravi Carpenter / as Oskar
Taylor Gaines / as The Girl
Doc McConnell / as The Boy
Leah Davis / as The Other Girl

“Oskar and Toby are Abductors and Detainers (it’s on the business cards). These days, though, they’re in a rut, as the hours — and the victims — begin to blur together amidst rehearsed board games, meandering existential debate, and gin and tonic. When, one cold day, the “mark” talks back, the walls of their prison start to peel away, and both men begin to question how much control they really have. The two career middlemen find themselves unwitting pawns in a hilarious and tragic game of manipulation, mayhem, and maybe murder. Maybe.”

“Persephone” will be performed at Random Row Books, located at 315 W. Main Street in Charlottesville, Virginia.

There will be a Pay-What-You-Will preview performance on Wednesday, February 15th, at 7.30pm.

Subsequent performances will take place on February 17th, 18th, and 19th, each at 8pm. Tickets are $5/each, or two for $8.

Seating is limited, so reserved tickets are recommended. To make a reservation, emailach4n@virginia.edu.
